Early Life and Career

Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana. He was the youngest of nine children in a musical family. Jackson began his career at an early age, performing with his brothers in the Jackson 5. In 1971, he embarked on a solo career, which would go on to become one of the most successful in music history.

Rise to Stardom

Jackson's solo debut album, "Off the Wall," was released in 1979 and was a huge commercial success. His subsequent albums, "Thriller" (1982) and "Bad" (1987), were even more successful, breaking numerous records and cementing his status as the "King of Pop."

Jackson's music was characterized by its innovative sound, which combined elements of pop, soul, and funk. He was also known for his elaborate stage shows and groundbreaking music videos, which helped to revolutionize the music industry.

Personal Life and Legacy

Jackson's personal life was often in the spotlight. He married twice, first to Lisa Marie Presley and then to Debbie Rowe. He had three children, two with Rowe and one with an unknown surrogate mother.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50, from cardiac arrest due to a propofol overdose. His death shocked the world and he remains one of the most iconic figures in music history.
